Jesse Maguire spent
the majority of his
youth painting graffiti
on walls and freight
trains. At the age of 24
he moved down south,
and was introduced to
tattooing through an
apprenticeship at
intense ink, formerly in
Hopkinsville, Ky. After
completing his
apprenticeship, Jesse
decided to move back
home. There he
worked alongside
longtime friend and
fellow graffiti artist,
Sean Sullivan, and
fellow tattoo101 artist,
Carlos Lopez. In the
winter of 2006, Jesse
and Sean decided to
venture out on their
own. Together, they
opened tattoo101 in
July of 2007. While
Jesse's abilties cover a
wide range of styles
from traditional, to new
skool, to portraiture,he
prefers to work in a
style that blends
realism with his own
illustrative and graffiti
based background.
